This is the second part of the collection “Guitar for Young Masters”, consisting of 39 pieces intended for students
of music schools. The collection presents works in various genres: Latin American pieces, folk-inspired motifs, country,
flamenco, blues, as well as études.
The collection can be loosely divided into three sections, arranged in order of increasing difficulty. Each section
contains approximately 10–15 pieces.
The first section includes small pieces ranging from one to four lines. Many of them are written in the form of a
repeated phrase with a modified ending. Such works can be memorized quite quickly. The pieces differ in character
and, above all, in the musical imagery, which I hope will be interesting for students.
In these fairly easy pieces, there are no suddenly appearing difficult passages; at the same time, they contain many
fingering and dynamic markings, which, in my opinion, should help the student effectively consolidate the material.
The second section contains pieces of a more technical and dance-like character. They are most often written in
ternary form (A–B–A) and are up to one page in length.
The third section includes concert pieces of larger form—variations and works of a virtuosic character. It also includes
three pieces from the first section, arranged for duet.
The recordings can be heard in my own performance, as well as in performances by Belarusian guitarist Pavel
Bortnik and Rainer Maria Nero, assistant at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Austria).
